Thank you to everyone who joined today’s innovation workshop at the Collaborative Forum in Cornwall (UK). We explored challenges and opportunities around safe and healthy seas, sustainable seafood, and the role of innovation in supporting coastal communities.
Our discussions highlighted the importance of taking a source-to-sea approach, recognising how activities and decisions made upstream can have far-reaching impacts on water quality and seafood safety downstream. We all agreed on our love for the ocean.
Our external speakers showcased innovation in action; including Our Rainwater who reduce pollution and runoff before it enters rivers and coastal waters and Molendotech who’s rapid water quality testing technology provides near-instant information for sea users. We also learned how Cornwall Marine Network supports innovation across the sector, helping organisations connect, collaborate and turn promising ideas into real-world impact.
Thank you to all our speakers, participants and partners for contributing to a lively and engaging discussion. We look forward to continuing the conversation and supporting collaboration across Cornwall and beyond!
