Summer School on Coastal Pathogens and Climate Change

BlueAdapt invites you to follow our Summer School on Coastal Pathogens and Climate Change. Developed for researchers investigating the various ways climate change is impacting our waters and our health, the Summer School will dive into the different research areas of BlueAdapt: from One Health to antimicrobial resistance (AMR); Health Impact Assessments to modelling tools, and more.

Participants will hear from BlueAdapt experts in research, policy and communications to explore how to make the most of climate adaptation tools, and transform scientific evidence into policy action. Over the course of the Summer School, we will hear from speakers and take part in interactive sessions on:

  • Climate change and One Health perspectives
  • Coastal pathogens in a climate change scenario
  • Health Impact Assessment in coastal communities and policies
  • Adaptation to health and climate – lessons from the BlueAdapt case studies

The summer school is organised by the Plentzia Marine Station of the University of the Basque Country (PiE-EHU) and the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), within the framework of the EU Horizon research project BlueAdapt, and in collaboration with the ECT+ One-Health EMJMD, the Enlight Thematic Network H2OPE and the EHU Ingurudok Seminars of the EHU MER and CTA Doctoral Programmes.
