Mikołaj Czajkowski is a professor and economist at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, whose research tasks involve analysing peoples' behaviour, designing experiments and econometrically analysing the micro data. He has been the head of the Chair of Microeconomics since 2012 and Vice-Dean for research since 2020. He has conducted numerous research stays at the University of California, San Diego, the University of Glasgow, the University of St Andrews and the University of Stirling.
His research interests include Preferences and Choice Modelling, Non-market Valuation, Microeconomics and Microeconometrics. He focuses on environmental economics and econometric methods used to model consumers' preferences. According to the RePEc, he is among the top 5 influential economics researchers in Poland. He has authored over 70 papers in reputable high-impact scientific journals. His works were cited over 4800 times (Google Scholar).
