Sébastien Libert

Sébastien Libert joined EuroHealthNet in 2025 as a Senior Project Coordinator, specialising in EU-funded projects on health equity and environmental health research. In this role, he contributes to the BlueAdapt initiative, translating research findings into actionable policy through the organisation of policy workshops and conferences, and the development of policy briefs and strategic guidance.

He has also worked as a Public Involvement Officer at Alzheimer Europe (2024-2025), supporting research, ethics, and the meaningful inclusion of members of the public —including people with dementia and carers— in EU-funded research projects and programmes.

Previously, he served as a Consultant for the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional Office (2021-2024), supporting Member States in implementing the Regional Action Plan on Healthy Ageing in the Western Pacific, advancing health promotion, and strengthening community engagement programmes.

He completed a PhD in Anthropology of Ageing and Health (2016-2021) at University College London, funded by an EU Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska Curie grant, where he researched social exclusion in later life and dementia.

He also held research positions at University of Oxford (2020-2021) , focusing on health, ethics, ageing, and social prescribing.
