Dr Sinead Duane is a Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Galway. For BlueAdapt, Sinead is working on the development of a behaviourally enhanced Smartphone app. The app will explore whether real-time water pollution alerts (delivered via a smartphone App) can protect water users from exposure to waterborne microorganisms in the sea.
Sinead’s research focus includes social marketing, behavioural change and systems thinking to address grand societal challenges such as Antimicrobial Resistance. Aligned with this area, her research interests include the role of technology in supporting change and stakeholder engagement and partnership development for greater impact.
