Anne Leonard

Dr Anne Leonard is an environmental epidemiologist and microbial ecologist at the University of Exeter’s European Centre for Environment and Human Health.

She is working to understand the presence and spread of antimicrobial resistant bacteria in natural environments, and evaluate the impact on human health resulting from exposure to resistant bacteria in such settings. She has over 10 years’ experience of environmental microbiology, conducting projects on waterborne microorganisms in coastal bathing waters and exposure assessments.
